IARIA Privacy Statement

IARIA respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we collect and use your personal information. We take your privacy concerns very seriously and confirm that we do not sell or rent any information to others and will only share information in accordance with this privacy statement.

Collection of Information

IARIA collects primarily contact details such as names, affiliations, job titles, e-mail addresses, and sometimes photographs, but also a list of scientific topics of interest of current and past contributors (authors of submissions to our conferences and journals) as well as those of our technical program committee members. Data collection is done either by e-mail directly from you or is provided by you as part of the contribution submission process to our events. 

Use of Information

The collected data is used for contact purposes, such as:

  • to send technical notices, updates, security alerts and administrative messages related to active conferences,
  • to invite program committee members to review contributions based on their declared topics of interest and expertise,
  • to inform of upcoming events,
  • to respond to your comments, questions and requests.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your information to vendors or third parties. We may share some contact data with third parties involved in the management of active conferences, such as payment processors.

Sensitive Information

IARIA does not collect sensitive information such as credit card details; all registration payments are exclusively being done using Cybersource, our payment vendor. Cybersource's privacy policy can be found at https://www.cybersource.com/privacy.

Audio and Visual Recording; Live Streaming

Photographs and/or audio-visual footage may be taken and/or live-streamed during an IARIA hybrid event. Photos and videos can be published on IARIA websites and social media pages. By attending an IARIA organized event, you agree you may appear in published photos and/or videos as stated above.

Storage of Information

We store personal information on secure servers that are managed by us and our service providers.

Promotional Communications

We will periodically send you e-mails that directly promote our conferences, events, and gatherings. When you receive a promotional communication from us, you may indicate a preference to stop receiving further communications from us - you will have the opportunity to “unsubscribe” - by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the e-mail you receive.
