NOTE: June 23 is the official celebration of Luxembourg's nationhood and marks the Grand Duke's Official Birthday (although no ruler ever had a real birthday that fell on the date). On the eve of the holiday (June 22) there is a torchlight procession that lights the streets beginning at 10pm. A fireworks display illuminates the Petrusse Valley while music livens up the streets.
