Prof. Dr. Vladimir Strezov

Prof. Vladimir Strezov is a Professor at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. He holds a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Newcastle in Australia. Prof Strezov has published over 150 research papers in the field of sustainable energy and industrial ecology. His research interests also cover developing sustainable engineering systems through biomass processing. He has pioneered a computational thermo-analytical methodology for assessment of energy conversion of biomass and has also led the research into developing methods for quantifying industrial sustainable development. More recently, his research efforts in sustainable application of biomass for energy resulted in a co-authored book “Biomass Processing Technologies”.

Prof. Strezov has established close research ties with several Australian primary industries for which he recently received a distinguished award for excellence in external research partnership by his host university.
