From Geneva, by bus or by train

We expect that most attendees will arrive by airplane to Geneve-Cointrin - Switzerland

To go to Chamonix the best solution is to go by regular shuttle see http://www.chamonix.com/pdf/busgeneveprintemps.pdf  or  by regular train see http://www.sbb.ch/en/index.htm

Buses and trains start form the Geneva airport.
Buses and trains from Geneva stop at Chamonix train station.

From Chamonix train station to the hotel, you can:

A) take the bus number 2 direction Glassier des Bossons at the location "place du Mont Blanc" (close to Chamonix train station) and then stop at  "Tissieref " bus station (metropolitan bus #2 for free).
Details on public bus #2:
- Walk about 5-8 minutes from the train station to the bus station 'Chamonix Centre' (bus #2)
- Every other bus is stopping in front of the conference hotel (the other stops on a street about 5-7 minute walk away! ask the bus driver)

or

B) take a taxi (price about 20 euros)

By road from Geneva, take the A40 (E25) towards Chamonix, then take the N205, exiting for Les Bossons. From Lyon, take the A43 (E70) towards Chambery, then the A41 (E712) towards Annecy, the A40 (E25) in the direction of Chamonix, then the N205, exiting for Les Bossons. From Turin, take the A5 (E25) towards Aoste and Courmayeur, then the N205 for Chamonix, exiting for Les Bossons. The hotel is located 20 km from the Saint Gervais TGV railway station and one hour from Geneva International Airport.

To reach the hotel by local bus from Chamonix downtown, the line #2 and the exit is the last station of the local bus

France is a Schengen visa country (Switzerland has signed the Schengen agreement, too; Switzerland is not an EU-country); see http://www.schengenvisa.cc/
Please, check with the closest France Embassy or any other Schengen country.
