Prof. Dr. Tulin Atmaca

Tülin ATMACA received the PhD degree in Computer Science from The University of Paris XI (ORSAY), in France in 1987. From 1986 to 1988 she has taught in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Paris XI. From 1989 to 1991, she was Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Paris VI. Since January 1992, she has been Associate Professor at National Institute of Telecommunications (INT) in France, in the networking and service department. She was a Visiting Professor in the Computer Science Department of the North Carolina State University, as well as the department of Industrial Engineering of the Rutgers University.

Her research interests are in the areas of performance evaluation of telecommunication networks (ATM, FR, Optical Networks, TCP/IP,...), of traffic and congestion control, and Quality of Services aspects in these networks. She is involved in several national and international research projects in the field of the optical packet switching network and their performance (ROM, ROM-EO, EuroNGI, Industrial research projects). She is responsible at INT  for  ECOFRAME  projects (French  national research project) on Metro Access,and Metro Core and for CARRIOCAS project on backbone networks especially on QoS aspect.. She served on the program committees and was co-chair of various well-known international conferences (AICT’06, ICDT’06). Her recent research interests include the all-optical multi-service networks: WAN and MAN and the performance of optical metro / access networks.
