Matthias Baumgart

Dr. Matthias Baumgart studied mathematics at the University of Gießen, received his diploma in 1998 and achieved his PhD in mathematics in 2005. He joined Deutsche Telekom AG in 1999 and worked as a security consultant within T-Systems. In 2008 he joined the Telekom Innovation Laboratories and was responsible for several R&D projects as a technical project manager with participants from, e.g., Israel and South Africa. From 2010 he led the security research group and was responsible for managing several research and innovation projects. In 2011, he joined the seamless network control group at Telecom Innovation Laboratories. His current research interests are on heterogeneous network control and network security.
