Prof. Dr. Andy Snow

Dr. Andy Snowreceived his BS and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Old Dominion University, and his PhD in information Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1997. Andy’s primary research stream deals with critical information and telecommunications infrastructure protection, while his secondary stream deals with IT and telecommunications project management. Prior to returning to university for an academic career, he held positions as electronics engineer, member of the technical staff, manager, director, vice president, and general manager in telecommunications carrier, systems integration and consulting firms. Currently, Snow achieved the rank of Professor within the School of Information and Telecommunication Systems (ITS) at Ohio University. As part a member of ITS, he is an active researcher and teacher. From 2002 through 2007, Andy served a five-year term as Director of the School where he directed the undergraduate and graduate degrees in Information & Telecommunication Systems. Snow is currently President Emeritus of ITERA (Information and Telecommunications, Education and Research Association, www.itera.org) and in 2009 was named an IARIA fellow (International Academy, Research, and Industry Association, www.iaria.org). His publications appear in journals such as IEEE Transactions on Reliability, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of Networks and Systems Management, Telecommunications Policy, Journal on Mobile Networks and Applications, International Journal of Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management Journal, and IEEE Computer.
