Dr.Andrei Alexandru Enescu

Andrei Alexandru Enescu was born in Romania in 1980. In 2003 he received a M.Sc. degree in mobile communications from Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania. He also received a Ph.D. degree (MAGNA CUM LAUDE) in digital communications in 2008. As a Ph.D. student (from December 2003 to July March 2008), he worked on OFDM specific algorithms, MIMO communications, and adaptive filters. Since October 2003 he has been a member of the Telecommunications Department of University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania, where currently is a Lecturer. His research interests include MIMO algorithms, cellular network deployments, and FPGA programming. He published more than 50 papers in journals and conference proceedings. He received 3 “Best Paper” awards at international conferences (International Conference on Computing in the Global Information Technology - ICCGI 2006, International Conference on Networking - ICN 2008, Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications - AICT 2009). He co-authored 1 book and 3 application notes for students. He was the project manager of 3 national research grants (one of which is still in progress).  Andrei Alexandru Enescu is a member of the IEEE Wireless Communications Society. He serves as a reviewer for several international conferences. He also served as a member of the Technical Program Committee for several international conferences (ICDS 2009, CTRQ 2010, ICDS 2010, CTRQ 2011, ICDS 2011, SENSORCOMM 2010, ICDT 2011, SENSORCOMM 2011).
